Low Carb Meal
A lot of people are saying that they are not satisfied of a meal if it does not contain some fresh vegetables. They also say that a diet based only on proteins and fats is not always healthy and sometimes it gets monotonous.
A low carb meal does not have to be always this monotonous. If you know how to mix different foods, you can obtain a low carb meal which you will find very tasteful. All you have to do is to combine vegetables, meats, fish and even herbs. This can "renew" your low carb meal if you are full of regular low carb foods. In my opinion, not only you, but your family will also love your low carb meal.
Herbs are one type of food which mixed with other low carb foods can result in a delicious low carb meal. For example, the onion and garlic are exceptional, when it comes to health benefits. The garlic helps you preventing a high cholesterol, while onions prevent cancer and improve your lungs function. Even if the effects of these two highly valued herbs can't be seen immediately, after a long term usage you will get to my point. If your family does not like the smell of garlic, you can try an elephant garlic instead, in your low carb meal.
Some low carb diets avoid using carrots, bread, pastas, rice and potatoes, because they contain starch. That's why some of low carb diet followers need a period of a couple of weeks to accommodate. Anywise, if you can not stay without having your starches, you should eat grain bread, natural potatoes and brown rice.
If you are a pasta lover, I have some good news for you. Your regular low carb meal can change into a delicious, tasty meal. For that, you can prepare a sauce with onion, garlic (I told you about them before), mushrooms, some cheese and some fresh pepper. This should be enough to make your mouth water.
Salads are also an option for a low carb meal. Some of the vegetables you can use are the spinach, lettuces and endives. It is better, when you are adding fats, to be sure they are mono-saturated. An example of mono-saturated fats is the olive oil. If you want to make it more interesting, supplement the salad with some herbs or lemon juice. A low carb meal based on salads can be found really tasteful.
If this was not enough to "renew" your ordinary low carb meal, you can try something else, like seafood, low carb veggies and low carb fruits like grapefruits. The feta or bleu cheese is also an option. All you have to do is to experiment with them in your pot. It can result in something really tasty.
