Keto Breakfast

If you’re tired of low-carb breakfast cereals, cinnamon waffles, low-carb pancakes or anything sweet for a keto breakfast, it’s a good idea to make our selection of keto bread recipes.

Keto Bread

Good keto bread is one of the cheapest you can find when you decide to start a low-carb or keto lifestyle.

We already have many keto bread recipes to choose from on our blog, but one is still missing.

And these are super tasty, perfectly moist and delicious keto bagels with homemade Sezoning All Bagels.

And it was something my daughter had wanted for a long time.

Keto All Bagels Recipe

Many Keto bagels have already been made with the very popular fat-head batter.

But since we need variety and some people want to avoid so much cheese, I chose two of the most common and regularly used keto flour options.

Keto bagel with almond and coconut flour mix

Almond and coconut flour have been used primarily for cooking and preparing foods low in carbohydrates and ketos. Both are perfect in terms of carbohydrate content, but each is special in its own way.

Almond flour

Almond flour is virtually flavorless in your baked goods and softens everything you cook to perfection.

Coconut flour

Coconut flour, on the other hand, is delicious and dries baked goods as needed.

The difference is that you only need about ¼ coconut flour if you cook one of the keto recipes with almond flour for comparison.

And since bagels are supposed to be soft, but also a little dense, I decided to combine the two.

After a few tries, I found the perfect mix of dimensions and I hope these Keto Everything Bagels become your basic recipe whenever you want them.

Anything But Bagels Season

There would be no real bagels if they weren’t as popular as the All but Bagel season.

The best is homemade, and since I live in Europe, I doubt I can find anything homemade.

So I decided to make my own, using all the fresh seeds and herbs I have around the house.

And that’s the easiest thing you can do.

You don’t have to buy pre-cooked spices that definitely have a little something extra to keep them fresh forever.

Just add poppy seeds, white and black sesame seeds, onion flakes, sea salt and garlic flakes.

See, you made everything yourself except bagels, ready when you need them.

Black bulb

You may have noticed that I replaced the black cumin seeds with black sesame seeds.

The first reason is that I couldn’t find black sesame seeds at the store and I had cumin in the house.

Then I wanted to make this spice even healthier and whenever possible, I try to add black seeds to every meal.

Black cumin (Nigella Sativa) is a spice mainly used in the Middle East, which is where I was introduced to it when we lived in Dubai.

The flavor is a combination of oregano, black pepper and onion, which is exactly what I was looking for.

What are keto bagels made of?

Our keto bagels are made with almond flour and coconut flour for the perfect combination of sweetness and a little density.

Eggs and cream cheese combined with soft psyllium.

A little baking soda to get the little air bubbles in, sprinkled with our homemade spices, and you get the best, always quick and easy, Keto Bagels.

How many carbs are in a bagel?

With our recipe, you can make about 8 medium keto-based bagels, each with 4 grams of carbs and 1 gram of fiber.

When you add in 9 grams of protein, 20 grams of fat, and 231 calories per bagel, these bagels aren’t exactly low in calories.

How do you make homemade condiments Anything but bagels?

Just mix a tablespoon of poppy seeds, white and black sesame seeds, onion flakes, sea salt and garlic flakes.

What do you serve with the keto bagels?

Using spreads or just cream cheese is an excellent idea for the filling.

But let’s not forget the avocado with the salmon and a little lemon and dill and you have breakfast for life. Then you want to cook them over and over again.

But did you know you can use the same recipe for hamburger buns or bagel dogs?

Bagel dogs are something I’ve been leaning towards for a long time.

How are keto bagels made?

After all my testing, I can confirm that the old hand roll method works better.

I tried baking these keto bagels in a silicone donut pan (which you may have seen in my Instagram stories where I share all my daily activities).

They weren’t bad, but not like the old way. With your own hands, you can roll the most beautiful Keto Everything Bagels to perfection and it doesn’t take long.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO THE BEST KETO BAGELS

First step: Prepare all ingredients

Prepare all your ingredients. As I suggested in the post, you can use yogurt or fromage frais in the same amount. I made these bagels with yogurt and cream cheese, and neither I nor my entire family saw or felt any difference.

I decided to use cream cheese for this recipe after most of my Instagram followers asked me for cream cheese.

Second step: Dry mixture

Once all ingredients are cooked and measured, add all dry ingredients and mix well.

Watch out for pieces of almonds or baking powder.

Third step: Mixed eggs

Use a hand mixer or food processor and mix all the eggs until they are completely frothy. You’ll find that the size triples, giving bagels a nice, airy taste.

Fourth step: Add dry ingredients and cream cheese

Once the eggs are fully mixed, slowly begin to add the dry ingredients and cream cheese.

As you can see in the video, I first combined only half of the dry ingredients and the fromage frais, and then a few minutes later added the rest of the dry ingredients.

This way the whole dough can be mixed well.

Fifth step: Resting dough

Once the dough is fully mixed, use a silicone spatula to clean the sides of the bowl, stir the dough a few more times and let it rest for at least 10-15 minutes.

This makes the dough stick better and makes shaping the bagel much easier.

Step 6: Waterfront

To handle this paste, we recommend you put a few drops of oil on your hands or make sure they are well moistened.

I always have a bucket full of water that I use to make bagels, otherwise everything sticks to my hands.

Seventh step: Role and form

With wet hands, take some of the dough and roll it out into a small cube. Once you’ve rolled up the sheet with your hands, form into bagels and place on a silicone-lined baking sheet.

Watch the video for a better understanding.

Eight steps: Seasonal preparation

Like I said, a homemade bagel is the best thing you can do for yourself. You choose the freshest seeds and ingredients you want, and all you have to do is mix it all up.

I used a tablespoon at a time and just stirred it into a bowl.

There was more than enough to sprinkle on the bagels. There’s still a lot you can use for everything.

Step 9: Spraying and dusting

Once the bagels are spread out on the baking sheet, you can start sprinkling all the bagels with the spices.

I sprinkled each bagel with water so the seeds would stick to the bagels.

If you like, you can break an egg and brush it over the bagels, giving them an extra shine.

Keto All Bagels Recipe Tips and Tricks

Let the dough rest – Let the dough rest for at least 10-15 minutes. It will be much easier to work with

Water – always wet your hands when making bagels. This paste is a little sticky, and wet hands help a lot.

Yogurt instead of cream cheese – The first time I made these bagels was with our Greek Cold Start yogurt. This is ideal if you want to avoid cream cheese, as the taste and texture are not changed at all.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How do I store all my keto bagels?

Keto bagels can be stored for 1-2 days at room temperature or up to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Besides the fact that the freezer is your best friend.

Can you freeze keto bagels?

You can definitely freeze keto bagels, and that’s what I do with all my keto bread recipes.

I usually just save a few bagels to eat the next day. No more than that.

Everything else goes into the freezer after it cools, and I always take it out the day before breakfast.

They’ll thaw on their own, but if you find they’re not as fresh as you’d like, just pop them in the oven for a few minutes.
