This recipe was one of our 2018 Top 10 low-carb and keto recipes and was discovered by my daughter when she was playing at a friend’s house. She went home and could only talk about the best soup she had ever eaten.

After a few phone conversations with my friend, who told me it was just a bone broth that my daughter didn’t like in our house, my friends said to add an egg.

An egg? In bone broth?

And that’s when the magic happened. The simple egg in the bone broth made him memorable and forever loved.

It’s really just a few seconds of Keto Egg Drop Soup.

And it was just another egg. A gullible one and she likes my bone broth again.

The health benefits of this low-carbohydrate egg soup are enormous because the base is a nutritious homemade broth that contains collagen, minerals, vitamins and fatty acids.

I like it, my husband likes it, but my daughter …..not so much.

Is keto-egg soup friendly?

This one. The problem with many egg soups is that they always contain starch to make them a little creamier. But if you use only one egg and mix it well, you don’t need a thickener at all to enjoy it completely keto.

How do you thicken keto soup?

If you’re really stubborn and won’t settle for eggs alone, you can always add a pinch of xanthan gum to thicken it up. For the magic that happens with xanthan gum, a pinch really means a pinch. About ¼ teaspoon or even less.
Be very careful, because a little pinch is very important. If you add too much xanthan gum, you may
end up
with a
sticky, thick, inedible keto egg soup.

Is Chinese keto egg soup good too?

If you don’t do it yourself at home and you know what you’re putting in, you do it.
Our recipe is a starch-free egg soup.

Most Chinese restaurants add not only glutamine, but other starches to make it really tasty. I wouldn’t trust that.

One of the first visits to Chinese restaurants when my daughter was diagnosed is a perfect example. She had just been diagnosed at the time, so we had no idea how it worked, so we ordered the usual soup as a precaution. Simple, I mean really simple. Not even the vegetables or the chicken. It was just soup. Just water. And oh, my God. He went so high we couldn’t believe it. But someone learned his lesson, and we’ve been very careful ever since.

What is the basis of egg soup?

In our recipe, I used bone broth, which I make weekly and always fill the freezer with Mason jars. Since our bone broth is made in the Instant Pot, would it be acceptable to call our egg soup broth recipe Instant Pot? I’m not sure.

How do you make egg soup without broth?

Don’t have a homemade bone broth in the freezer?
No problem. Use the broth you have in the house. You can also substitute it with broth or diced vegetables.

How many carbs are in the egg soup?

Keto Egg Drop Soup has almost no carbs
It really only adds a little, depending on how you prepared your broth. If a lot of vegetables were added during cooking, there may be traces of green vegetables left behind. But like I said, they don’t really
exist and there’s no need to take them into account.
And that means you can eat this egg soup all day long, day after day. Isn’t that great?

How do you prepare keto-egg soup?

As you can see from our recipe, it’s a pretty simple egg soup, and we love it.

Super Easy Keto Egg Drop Soup

How do you make keto deer egg soup?

I need kitchen utensils:

  • Kitchen Cabinet
  • Fork
  • Glass jar
  • Whip

Necessary ingredients :


First step: the eggs

First, prepare a glass jar or bowl in which you will beat the eggs.

Step Two: Beat the eggs.

Place 2 eggs in a glass bowl and beat until the egg whites and yolks are well blended.

If you don’t have a swingarm, you have to use a fork.

When the two eggs are beaten, set them aside.

Third step: the broth

Pour the bone broth onto the stove and bring to a boil.

Once the broth is boiling, turn the heat to medium-high.

Use a fork, as in the video, to slowly pour the egg into the pan.

If desired, you can simmer the soup a little longer or add the additional ingredients listed at the top of the post.

After gently loosening the egg mixture with a fork, stir, separating mounds as necessary.

Tips and tricks:

Thickening – adding a pinch of xanthan gum to the soup will thicken the soup slightly.

Tip of the fork – as you can see in the video, by draining the beaten eggs with the fork, the egg becomes very thin, almost like Chinese noodles for hair.


How do you store your egg soup?

Pre-cooked egg soup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

You can also easily freeze the cooked bone broth and prepare it in seconds by adding eggs and whipping cream.

Can I freeze egg soup?

In my experience, when I make bone broth or chicken broth, I always freeze 80%.

Just pour it into jars and put it in the freezer. Then, when you need it, take it out the day before, heat the soup in the afternoon and add the eggs, like in the video. Here’s how to do it. So take it slow.
