Snacks are always seen as something unhealthy. But with our lifestyle, any snack is perfect.

A minimum of carbs and it’s all homemade.

The best example to start with is Keto popcorn with just cheese. Or Cloudy Egg Chips, the Air Fryer with pork rinds, made all at home. Zucchini Chips or Keto Crackers.

Whatever you choose, they are all super nutritious, but they are not always served during snacking.

Keto Doe, discovered by Heavenly Fan, made its third appearance on our blog today. Starting with the Keto Tater Tots, followed by the best and crispiest keto fries, I couldn’t stop.

Those keto chips won’t be the last. I promise you that. There are so many options you can have.

Keto tortilla preparation method

Keto tortillas can be prepared in a variety of ways. At the very least, you should give them a little oil to make them crispy. Whichever option you choose, I suggest you drizzle them with oil on both sides.

The deep fryer is the option I chose. They may not be the healthiest, but you get the crunchiest tortillas.

The air fryer is a modern way to prepare snacks. Tortilla Airfryer in about 6
minutesOptimally, cook at 200C or 400F until golden brown. You can flip them over towards the end so both seeds are crispy.

How do you quickly cut tortilla chips?

After making a few chips and crackers from various keto doughs, I learned that the best and fastest way to make them is to cut them into the shape you want. They are super sharp and allow you to spread the dough out very easily.
You can always spray them lightly with oil or water to keep them from sticking.

Small pizza rolls don’t work well for me because the dough sticks to them very easily.

How do you spread the dough?

I’ve seen this advice in several Tik Tok videos, and since it works, I wanted to share it with you too.
Get two identical lines. They are usually a few millimeters thick.

Once your dough is half spread, place each ruler on the end of the dough and spread it further with our cookie cutter so that the ends touch the rulers. This will ensure that your dough is not only perfectly thin, but also has the same thickness.

Can you add spices to the chips?

Oh yes, you can experiment with spices. Each herb has a different flavor and aroma, and you’ll be surprised how different the flavors of your chips will be. I like to add something spicy.

Also, a little Italian seasoning would give me a Mediterranean touch when eating on tortillas.

What do you serve with the keto tortilla chips?

You can eat the tortilla chips alone, as I did, but they are usually always served with some sort of dip.

In a Mexican restaurant, tortillas and sauces are the first thing you need to sit down.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CRUNCHIEST KETO TORTILLA CHIPS.

First step: prepare the ingredients

Get all the ingredients ready and make sure you have boiling water too.

Boiling water allows the dough to mix evenly.

Meanwhile, you can prepare the spices of your choice if you want to add them.

Step 2: Mix the dry ingredients

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, making sure there are no lumps or chunks.

Step 3: Adding hot water

Once everything is fully mixed, add hot water and begin stirring immediately.

Fourth step: thorough mixing

Mix all the dry ingredients with the hot water until fully mixed and the dough is nice and silky.

Fifth step: spraying

Prepare two pieces of parchment paper and spread them with butter before pouring in the dough.

This keto paste is quite sticky, and unless you spray it with parchment paper, you won’t be able to remove it afterwards.

If you don’t want to use oil, water in a spray bottle is also good.

Step 6: Rolling and peeling

Spread the dough very thin and try to form it into a square or rectangle.

When you are satisfied with the dough reduction, gently begin to remove the top parchment paper from the dough.

I found that spraying water on the parchment paper worked very well for me.

Step Seven: Reducing

As you can see in the video and pictures, cut the dough into squares and then into triangles.

Let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes.

As I said, this dough is quite sticky and it would be very helpful to let it rest so that it is easier to remove later.

8 steps: Frye

Slowly place each tortilla in the pan and fry over medium heat. Turn it over a few times.

When your Keto tortilla chips are ready, place them on a plate covered with a paper towel to remove most of the excess oil.

Roll out the dough – To roll out the dough, use 2 identical rulers on each side of the rolled out dough. Make sure the rolling pin rests on the edge of each ruler. This will not only help roll out the dough very thin, but also make it perfectly even.

Easy cutting – the easiest way to cut the dough is with a pizza cutter. Brush it with oil or spray it with water so nothing sticks.

Let rest for 10 minutes – After spreading the dough, let it rest for 10 minutes. This prevents sticking and is easier to handle.

How do you store your tortilla keto chips?

These Keto tortilla chips are super crunchy when fresh, and I recommend eating them right away. But of course, they can be stored in an airtight container, which I usually cover with a paper towel to wick away any moisture.

Store in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

Can you freeze tortilla chips?

You can, of course, freeze those scones. I suggest you freeze them raw.

Wrap them on parchment paper, cut them into triangles and place them directly in the freezer.

Once frozen, you can remove them from the parchment paper and place them in a ziplock bag, as you usually see for frozen French fries or fries in the stores.
